Above is a peek at my secret project – I’m very excited! I don’t want to go into too much detail yet, as I tend to jinx myself when I speak too soon, but I can tell you all that it is regarding The Seventh Age Saga. It’s so fun. And unique! At least, I haven’t seen it done before. But if it has been done, very few have tried to tackle it.
Years ago, around 2011-2012, if I recall correctly, under another author name, I wrote and self-published a young adult contemporary fantasy werewolf trilogy called The Darkwoods Trilogy. Now, back in those days, I still had a loooong way to go before I began to fully grasp the importance of proper editing and even storytelling. I just wrote to my heart’s content without the knowledge and skill I’ve learned since then. In short, I made a lot of laughable, embarrassing mistakes, and I’m still trying to correct them all (and live them down) to this day.
I could have left the trilogy alone and moved on and forward, but I loved the story so much, I just couldn’t let it go. I did another edit a couple of years ago and, once again, re-published it under yet another name. But I still was not satisfied! I paid a few thousand dollars for covers, which were beautiful, but still not what I was looking for. So, the only thing I could do was not only re-make the covers myself, but do one last edit, change the story drastically, and publish the trilogy one last time.
It is now titled The Darkmoon Saga. Book one’s title, “The Mayfair Moon” has remained the same, as well as book three, “The Ballad of Aramei”, but I did change the second book’s title from “Kindred” to “The Blood Bond”. I did this because the overall cover theme needed book two’s title to be more than one word. And, as far as the story-line goes, “The Blood Bond” makes much more sense, anyway.
So, with that said, I hope you’ll pick it up! “The Mayfair Moon” is available now at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo. I’m currently hard at work on finishing up “The Blood Bond” and will release it within the new few weeks. Shortly after that, I’ll release “The Ballad of Aramei”.
I hope you love reading the story as much as I loved writing it!
I like to add photos and videos to my IG and IGTV page that shows my processes in various projects from idea to finished result. From story ideas, writing a book, to cover creation, interior formatting, and even fantasy map-making, just to give you some behind the scenes access.
